Mr Babafemi said the widow is a mother of one and proprietress of a popular outlet in Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.
He said that Mr Ibigide came under searchlight on March 19, 2022.
Mr Marwa stated, “Instead of living in fear of arrest by NDLEA, they will lead respectable lives with their families and their communities.”
Mr Marwa stressed that tackling substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking was crucial to national security.
The NDLEA boss expressed appreciation to Mr Tinubu for his strategic support to the agency.
Mr Marwa described accurate and timely drug data as “the compass that guides all serious anti-drug operations.”
He said that the arrest came after he had evaded arrest twice and fled to Ghana to hide since June.
He said the suspect’s arrest underscored the NDLEA’s unwavering commitment to combating drug trafficking and abuse in the state.
Mr Babafemi said that the couple was initially arrested on June 13, by operatives of the State Security Service in the Ojo area of Lagos State.
