According to the commission, GenCos that fail to comply with this directive will face significant financial penalties and possible disconnection from the national grid.
He urged residents to utilise the forum to report service-related grievances through the appropriate channels for timely resolution.

The sanctioned Discos are Abuja, Eko, Enugu, Ikeja, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, and Yola.
Plateau is the 11th state that has obtained NERC’s order of transfer of regulatory oversight.
The DisCos have undermined the intention and objective of the federal government’s electricity reforms through their poor conduct and performance.
