Governor Abba Yusuf has welcomed the defection of eight NNPP lawmakers to the APC at the National Assembly in Abuja.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party says Governor Abba Yusuf does not need Rabiu Kwankwaso’s endorsement to join the APC or any other party of his choice.
The defectors said they joined Accord to be part of a “people-led mass coalition” to challenge the ruling APC’s dominance in the state.
Mr Aniebonam stated that all state and local government executives of the NNPP must ensure that the politicians they accept into the party have verifiable records.
Mr Jibrin, on Monday, declared his return to the APC and declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The NNPP described INEC’s refusal to comply with court orders on the new executive of the NNPP as disappointing.
Mr Major stated that the NNPP platform was closed to both Messrs Kwankwaso and Galadima.
Mr Tinubu told opposition political parties to blame themselves for their internal crises and not him.
Despite its non-adversarial approach to legislative business, the APC politician noted that the parliament has been under sustained public criticism.
