The Anambra government has warned that any student who fails to attend school on Mondays will face a one-week suspension.
Ms Chuma-Udeh said that a circular conveying the directive had already been issued to school authorities.
The government ordered the church to reschedule its weekday activities to commence from 4:00 p.m., after school hours.
She said that the rally disrupted classes and put the pupils’ safety at risk.
Mr Soludo says the resuscitation of the public school system has yielded remarkable results in literacy, numeracy, and school enrolment across Anambra.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has declared Tuesday, October 7, a school-free day to celebrate and honour teachers across the state.
“After the census exercise, the list of the defaulting schools will be published,” the commissioner said.
Mr Ajibade warned that errors at the registration stage could have long-term consequences.
The commissioner described the primary education sector as the foundation for a child’s future.
Ms Nwadinobi said the state government was committed to carrying along every segment of the education sector.
