The market’s declining performance was driven by sell-offs in telecommunications heavyweights.
Consequently, the market capitalisation shed N25 billion or 0.04 per cent to close at N59.095 trillion, as against N59,120 trillion recorded previously.
During the week, investors traded a total turnover of 1.804 billion shares worth N52.040 billion in 38,550 deals.
However, analysis of the market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session.
Investors gained N193 trillion or 0.35 per cent, making the market capitalisation, which opened at N55.890 trillion, to close at N56.083 trillion.
Specifically, the market capitalisation opened at N54.317 trillion, gained N390 billion or 0.72 per cent, and closed at N54.707 trillion.
Consequently, the NGX All-Share Index and market capitalisation rose by 3.79 per cent to close the week at 105,722.78 and N57.850 trillion, respectively.
Market capitalisation gained N1.56 trillion or 2.97 per cent to close at N53.967 trillion, compared with N52.408 trillion recorded on Monday.
Similarly, the market capitalisation, which opened at N49.284, rose by N1.005 trillion or 2.04 per cent to close at N50.289 trillion.
