NIGCOMSAT has urged the nation’s security personnel to continue to equip themselves with the satellite and other technological skills.
Nigerian Satellite Communication Limited has urged the government to ensure the effective implementation of policies aimed at advancing technology.
He said, however, that other pressing matters include a shortage of critical technical personnel, the need for support in the rollout and execution of Project 774.
The five-day training workshop, with the theme ‘Building Grassroots Innovation in Satellite Technology’, was declared open by Governor Bassey Otu on Tuesday.
The company assured that its dedicated technical team was working diligently to restore power as quickly as possible.
It will be held in Dutse, Jigawa, from April 7 to 11. Participants include start-ups, local innovators, and students from across the region.
NIGCOMSAT has partnered Eutelsat, a global satellite communications leader, to deliver Low Earth Orbit satellite services in the country.
”If the country has a good path of growth, it is a greater opportunity for you to invest,’’ the President said.
