The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has barred pilots and flight crew members from rendering services to more than one airline, saying it is illegal.
The strike followed the federal government’s refusal to reverse the 50 per cent deduction policy from internally generated revenues of agencies in the sector.
“The NCAA regulation says no airline shall display deceitful passenger departure time at its counter, advert material or on its website,” said Mr Najomo.
NCAA has praised aviation minister Festus Keyamo for contributing to Nigeria’s 71.04 per cent audit rating by ICAO.
NSIB directives are contained in four incidents and accidents reports and 20 safety recommendations.
NCAA spokesman Michael Achimugu said this at a news conference after the agreement was reached on Thursday in Lagos.
The NCAA suspended the airline’s AOC on April 24 following a runway skid of its MD-82 aircraft, registration number 5N-BKI, on April 23.
It said this would also provide for the continuous training and upgrade of professionals in the industry.
“Most of them don’t fly those airlines…they will tell their relatives ‘don’t fly that airline’ because they know the health status of those airlines,” Mr Keyamo
