Mr Sani said that this was in line with the continued efforts of the command to safeguard public health.
Mr Adeniyi said the seized consignments were liable to forfeiture under the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023.
Mr Ojeifo said it was lamentable that in spite of the current fuel scarcity in Nigeria, some individuals attempted to smuggle PMS out of the country.
The approval followed the adoption of recommendations of the Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariffs report on Thursday at plenary.
“A breakdown of the seizures comprises prohibited goods such as used clothing, foreign parboiled rice, vegetable oil, tomato paste and others,” he said.
