Mr Hasan noted that through collaborative efforts of agencies, 12 prosecution cases were currently ongoing at various courts.
“In the interest of justice, and in the light of the Criminal Procedure Code Appendix A, this court shall hands off this matter,” the court ruled.
The background of his relationship with Mrs Odariko was unclear, although officials said they were both romantically involved.
Authorities are seeking to nail whether Messrs Odariko and Dikwa conspired to run an expansive fraud ring as federal officials, as well as the whereabouts of the remaining stash.
“We also settled all funds due to these merchants. No funds currently due to the merchants are with Flutterwave.”
The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has commended the judiciary for the timely prosecution of failed bank cases over the years.
NDIC has assured bank customers of the safety of their money against any bank failures.
The NDIC, on its official website on Friday, gave out four tips for bank customers to safeguard their accounts.
NDIC said it has a strong safety net system in collaboration with the CBN.
The organisation wants the public to report ‘wonder banks’ via the NDIC website.
