The incident occurred on Saturday at about 11:00 a.m. when the three girls went to cut some grasses to feed their livestock beside the pond.
They also damaged some drainages and culverts in many parts of the metropolis and removed the rods.
The NSCDC commander said vandalism by miscreants, who planned to capitalise on the peaceful protest to destroy critical national assets, would be resisted.
According to him, the NSCDC is working with other security agencies to ensure a crisis-free protest in and outside the Kano metropolis.
He further emphasised the relevance of inter-agency cooperation to promote safety and security in the state.
He warned against vandalism of public utilities, describing it as a crime against society.
He said pipeline vandalism was sabotaging the economy.
“We are, therefore, handing him over to the NCoS for reabsorption in the facility and other necessary actions,“ he said.
“I advise criminals to repent or leave the state as the NSCDC and other security agencies would make life very uncomfortable for them,” the commandant.
“It is not acceptable for millions of dollars to be spent on power and then we have them vandalised.”
