NARD also thanked the governor for upgrading security and surveillance architecture in and around the state teaching hospital.
He said that the aim was to ensure that medical personnel in Nigeria work under favourable conditions.
According to him, a review will be made in two weeks.
According to the doctors, it is the decision of the national executive council of NARD to embark on such action.
“I am further directed to request your good office to stop the salaries of all striking resident doctors with effect from July 26, 2023,” the letter read.
The association made its stand known in a communique it issued on Saturday at the end of its national executive council (NEC) meeting held in Lagos.
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has embarked on an indefinite strike.
According to him, there are unpaid hazard allowances since 2017, COVID-19 allowances, and salary arrears, among others.
The NARD president said that the resident doctors in OAUTH had exhausted all peaceful means to resolve the crisis.
The resident doctors are seeking better pay and other welfare packages.
