Mr Lawal-Tsagem said the federal government has made its presence felt in the zone in the areas of agriculture and security.
Mr Muhammad said that NELFund came to the school to give assurance to the students.
Mr Mustapha urged institutions in the South-East and South-South to improve sensitisation efforts for timely loan applications.
Mr Lasisi said that any student who lacked the required learning character might lose his or her admission.
Mr Tinubu said his government had disbursed over N104 billion in loans to more than 600,000 students in tertiary institutions under NELFUND.
He said a total number of 352, 796 students applied for the loan while 108,484 had successfully received the loan.
The House Committee on Student Loans and Higher Education Financing has lauded the performance of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
“The halls of residence will be reopened for students from noon on Sept. 20,” he said.
“Those opportunities are our right and we must, like others, demand for what rightfully belongs to us,” the caucus said.
Many institutions in the South-East, including The University of Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Abia State University and Imo State Polytechnic, have already been onboarded.
