According to the commission, GenCos that fail to comply with this directive will face significant financial penalties and possible disconnection from the national grid.
The sanctioned Discos are Abuja, Eko, Enugu, Ikeja, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, and Yola.
“His appointment appears to be a case of political patronage rather than merit, and his performance has validated our concerns,” said the coalition.
The commission pointed out that it began the transfer of regulatory oversights to 10 states on January 10.
