The market’s negative performance was driven by price depreciation stocks such as; Veritas Kapital, EcoBank, UACN and among others.
The market breadth was negative as 18 stocks declined relative to 16 gainers.
Precisely, the ASI inched up by 0.19 per cent to 46,777.37 points from 46,687.85 recorded on Monday.
The market capitalisation shed N83.57 billion to close at N25.17 trillion as against N24.253 trillion posted on April 1.
The market breadth closed at par; 16 stocks advanced while 16 stocks declined.
Sell-offs were in stocks belonging to MTNN, Eternal, Guaranty Trust Bank Company and International Breweries.
Market capitalisation rose to N25.485 trillion, from the N25.414 achieved on Tuesday, indicating a 0.28 per cent increase.
Investors traded 340.67 million shares valued at N3.86 billion in 5,383 deals.
The tide was impacted by Guiness, UCAP, NNFM, Nigerian Breweries and Honeywell Flour.
