NiMet’s weather outlook predicted moderate dust haze on Wednesday with a horizontal visibility range of 2km to 5km over the north.
During the forecast period, a sunny and hazy atmosphere is expected over the North-Central and inland states.
Mr Odubote said the change in rain patterns made it challenging for farmers to plan effectively.
While some heads of agencies in the sector were replaced, one was suspended and awaiting investigation by the EFCC.
The training, held at NiMet regional headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos, is expected to run until December 22.
NiMet predicted cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine over the inland states of the South and the coastal cities in the morning hours.
According to NiMet, strong winds will likely precede and accompany the thunderstorms.
NiMet anticipates prospects of sunny skies with patches of clouds over parts of Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Adamawa and Taraba throughout the forecast period.
NiMet has predicted dust haze and cloudiness from Wednesday to Friday across the country.
The affected states are Adamawa, Taraba, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Anambra, Edo, Delta and Bayelsa.
