NNPC said that the increase was “in line with current market realities” and that “prices will continue to fluctuate to reflect market dynamics.”
In an interview on Tuesday, CEO of NNPC, Mr Mele Kyari, described the fuel scarcity in the country as a “glitch”.
NNPC said the 140 trucks of 33,000 litres of petrol were dispatched between January 28 and February 3.
Mr Afunnaya hinted that the fuel scarcity is artificially created by a deliberate decision of service stations.
Receipts from crude oil amounted to $12.95 million, while gas and miscellaneous receipts stood at $78.69 million and $99.61 million, respectively.
