“Three vessels are also waiting to berth with crude oil and cargo,” it said.
The NPA said eight expected vessels would berth with containers of different goods.
“We have also put in place a sanction regime for vessels who contravene the sulphur regulations.”
The managing director of NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko, noted that the authority would deal decisively with perpetrators of the unwholesome practice.
The president said the region must embrace full automation to be competitive in the global maritime sector.
Mr Okagba also described the sector as a rewarding one for professionals.
It listed the items expected as petrol, bulk sugar, bulk wheat, general cargo, base oil, frozen fish, bulk fertiliser, and container.
Mr Jamoh said the technical partners would liaise with the management of the NPA in finalising the site management.
It listed the discharged items as general cargo, containers, bulk pellets, bulk sugar, frozen fish, soya bean meal, butane gas, and petrol.
The authority said that two ships had arrived the port and were waiting to berth with bulk soya bean and wheat bran.
