Nigeria’s first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to embrace their cultural diversity and promote unity and respect.
Ms Tinubu disclosed this in the State House on Sunday during the ‘Nigerian Youth Celebration’.
Earlier this month, Ms Tinubu called kidnappers “animals” and “evil,” demanding that “we should take them out of our midst.”
COWA president Kikelomo Adeniyi said the move would ensure that the officers deployed in remote areas had a conducive environment.
“Women should lead the charge in addressing some of these societal ills and crimes; they must thrive and be empowered in a safe environment,’’ Mrs Tinubu said.
“All we inherited are things that had happened many years ago; we are not here to put blame on any administration but to fix what has been damaged.”
“I want to encourage the coaches to be more committed because you will be accountable for the outing.”
Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s first lady, has called for adequate investment in the country’s treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
Aisha Buhari has thanked women, the diplomatic community and others for the support and cooperation she received as Nigeria’s first lady.
“It is my conviction that the Tinubu-Shettima Presidency will lead this country into the future that our founding fathers envisioned.”
