He said that 2024 for workers in the country was filled with harrowing hardship.
Mr Aiyedatiwa had said the new minimum wage would be implemented from November 2024.

“It is a blatant disregard for the law and the lives of millions of Nigerian workers, who are being exploited by the very leaders sworn to protect them,” NLC stated.
Mr Ajaero lauded NANNM’s service and commitment to the labour struggle, acknowledging their vital role in keeping NLC strong and vibrant.
Nigerians have criticised Mr Ajaero’s leadership of the NLC for remaining passive.
“The accusations made by the Trade Union Congress in the United Kingdom are, thus, unfounded and based on a misunderstanding of the situation,” said the presidency.
Mr Ajaero explained that the increase contradicts the agreement with Mr Tinubu’s government on the national minimum wage, describing the increase as traumatic and nightmare.
The Nigeria Labour Congress says its leader, Joe Ajaero, will honour the invitation by the police for investigation over alleged terrorism subversion.
According to him, state government workers will start receiving the new minimum wage from August.
