Thirty-six state executive members, over 700 local government executives, 8,000 ward executives, 44 national delegates and 1,452 ward delegates defected to NNPP.
Bola Tinubu has been predicted to win the February 25 presidential election, 2023, in a fresh poll conducted by NHRC.

The defecting supporters removed their symbolic Kwankwasiyya red caps and threw them over to the campaign podium amid thunderous ovations from the crowd.
The defector urged Mr Rabiu Kwamkwaso to withdraw from the presidential contest and support Mr Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
“Let the general public know I have withdrawn my membership from the NNPP. I am no more with the NNPP from today.”
The electoral commission chairman explained that election security was vital to conducting free, fair, and credible polls.
