During the meeting, Mr Soyinka presented his translated book, Mito, Literatura e o Mundo Africano (Myth, Literature, and the African World), to Mr da Silva.
Mr Soyinka backed the Isese Day celebration, saying it offered the people a rare opportunity to reconnect with their cultural roots.
The #OccupyNigeria protest broke out in January 2012 in response to Mr Jonathan’s move to scrap fuel subsidy.
“Deliver us from Tinubu. What he promised to do are not what he is doing. He is suffering us,” said the old woman.
“The serving of bullets where bread is pleaded is ominous retrogression, and we know what that eventually proves,” said Mr Soyinka.
A statement by the minister’s spokeswoman, Nneka Anibeze, stated that Ms Musawa made the call during a courtesy visit to Soyinka.
Mr Obi said his visit to Mr Soyinka was “intended to erase the needless misconceptions about the relationship between the great icon and the OBIdient family.”
“There is the distinct advantage that Africa can actually pursue a green course of growth without worrying about costly legacy infrastructure.”
