The Northern Governors’ Forum has gone into a closed-door meeting with the national security adviser and service chiefs in Abuja.
Mr Yahaya said the forum commended the Federal Government over its fight against insecurity.
Mr Obi made the remark at the Presidential Town Hall meeting on Sunday in Abuja.
The governors noted that any attempt to adopt self-help in addressing grievances could lead to further chaos.
The governors extended their sympathises to the families of those killed as well as those kidnapped or injured.
“If you must be a Northerner who’s better than all the candidates; for us, that’s the bottom line.”
