Mr Willie said, “We have deployed over 1,000 officers and men both in uniform and plain clothes across the state.”
Mr Opebiyi stated that the NSCDC operatives would collaborate with other security agencies to ensure a unified and effective security response.
Mr Barunde warned organisers of the protest in the state against allowing mischief-makers to infiltrate them.
He appealed to the public to report any suspicious movement of persons or items to the command’s nearest office.
According to him, the suspects allegedly confessed to the crime.
The suspects were said to specialise in illegal hoarding of petroleum products to create artificial scarcity of petroleum products in the state.
The all-male suspects were arrested with three tanker trucks and 400 drums with millions of litres of diesel.
