The United Nations Children’s Fund, in collaboration with the Adamawa government, has inaugurated an emergency nutrition support programme for children aged zero to two years.
Ms Rafique said the initiative aimed to bridge immunisation gaps.

The chief of UNICEF, Bauchi field office, Nuzhat Rafique, urged the contractors to carry out their assignments with honesty, dedication, and professionalism.
Mr Danladi said that the exercise was flagged off in Tilde ward due to its little history of vaccine non-compliance.
Ms Rafique said the UN agency also supported the state government with 47,000 bottles of multiple micronutrient supplements (MMS).
She highlighted that students would learn practical farming techniques, including vegetable cultivation, to enhance their well-being
She said about 50 per cent of children were suffering from chronic malnutrition in the state.
Ms Rafique expressed UNICEF’s readiness to support all LGAS, communities, and the state in ensuring that all qualified children are vaccinated.
Mr Mohammed disclosed that the state had received a total of 2.5 million doses of the Novel Oral Polio Vaccine.
