Mr Nwifuru said the Amasiri community had not shown enough commitment to maintain permanent peace in the area, and the government had decided to bare its fangs.
“Sealing of the schools was part of the state government’s efforts to build quality education for the people,” the commissioner said.
Governor Francis Nwifuru has suspended three commissioners for one month over absenteeism from the state executive council meeting held on March 17.
Mr Nwifuru made the pledge during a church service at the Government House Chapel.

“They want people to say that when Nwifuru, a youth, was in power, there were killings,” said the Ebonyi governor.
Mr Nwifuru, who hails from Ebonyi North Senatorial District, said he was not entertaining any fear over the election’s eventual outcome.
Mr Umahi has boasted he is a man with “excess grace” from God, which enabled him to win a senatorial seat and enthroned a successor as governor.
