UNESCO has reiterated its commitment to conserving Nigeria’s biosphere reserves, ensuring environmental preservation.
UNESCO has committed to continued support for the Ogun government on biodiversity businesses for sustainable livelihoods and conservation of the state’s biosphere reserve.
The event featured the training of 12 Oban communities on fishery, poultry and piggery.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Environment, Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, and the National Park Service.
UNESCO is training members of the Oban community in Cross River on biodiversity businesses around the Oban Biosphere Reserve.
