Mr Aiyedatiwa charged the traditional ruler to promote peace, unity, and development in his domain.
The Lagos government stated that the review aimed to modernise the law in line with current realities and promote good governance.
The governor urged them to put things together and constitute the council to get their dues from his government.
“We plead with the governor and house of assembly to avoid giving room to the popular suspicion of seeking to donate compensatory crowns and chieftaincy titles.”
According to him, NIS has taken a step further to visit traditional rulers in the border communities so as not to engage in transborder crimes.
The traditional rulers are the Ologotun of Ogotun-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Adesanmi and the Alaaye of Aaye-Ekiti, Oba Ojo Idowu.
