The spokesperson for the 14 Brigade of the army, Mazinho Attah, said troops arrested the suspects during a patrol in the Akpaa area on Wednesday.
The party accused INEC of auditing the BVAS on the orders of the Labour Party and without its agents being present.
The electoral body said the suspension was to address issues from outstanding LGAs in the two states.
“Thugs have invaded our Obingwa Local Government Area office in Abia,” INEC tweeted via its verified Twitter handle.
“We must provide jobs for our children, and the answer is Enyimba Economic City and Geometric Power project,” stated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
The suspect was said to have been electrocuted in the early hours of Friday while cutting two cables linked to a transformer.
