Mr Preyor commended the ministry for its outstanding performance.
The visit is expected to foster collaboration and strengthen the relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.
The committee chairman said that the meeting was in line with constitutional provisions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
The assembly had on May 14 suspended the lawmaker over alleged gross misconduct.
Mr Preyor (PDP-Bomadi), who expressed concern over the ailing agency, said it should not be allowed to go into extinction.
“The twin evil of drug abuse and sex trade represents a great danger to the lives of our young people and the society at large.”
