“Failing to protect Nigerian children is the highest acceptance of governing without legitimacy, Mr President,” said Ms Ezekwesili.
She charged them to demand better governance and accountability from political leaders.
“We once had an unimpeachable judiciary,” Ms Ezekwesili wrote on X on Tuesday.
Ms Ezekwesili criticised Mr Tinubu and other Nigerian politicians for impoverishing the people and said they should be held responsible for the tragedies.
She explained the need for substantial systemic changes in governance.
The former education minister called for decentralising power from the federal to the local governments to speed up Nigeria’s development.
Mr Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law to commemorate his one year in office and to mark 25 years of uninterrupted democracy.
Mr Pam equally advised politicians, whether in power or not, to love Nigeria and be ready to do the right thing.
The group demanded that the National Assembly call off its recess and resume plenary immediately.
