The area comptroller said that the handover of the seized currency was to foster inter-agency collaboration between the Nigeria Customs Service and the EFCC

Mr Ojo explained that using such tyres was one of the factors contributing to road crashes in the state and Nigeria at large.
The customs boss said the seizures were made from different locations across Ogun and were mainly intelligence-driven.
Others were 10 big pieces and 19 small pieces of artifacts, one motorcycle used to convey prohibited items and 73 bales of second-hand clothing.
The Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun 1 Area Command, says it seized goods worth N4.88 billion between February and December 6.
Mr Makinde also said three trucks loaded with 530 bags of smuggled foreign parboiled rice were intercepted during anti-smuggling operations.
