The crash involved a MAN diesel truck with registration number LSR 10 YD and a Toyota Carina with no registration number.
The sector commander noted that the use of alcohol and drugs affected the decisions of drivers negatively, thus sometimes leading to accidents.
Mr Uga said the incident involving three vehicles and eight persons happened at about 7:20 a.m.
Mr Umar said the warning had become necessary as the FRSC, police and other sister agencies, would be on ground to arrest motorists driving against traffic.
The corps said the accident could have been averted if the truck driver had adhered to the stipulated speed limit.
