He said the organisation would be actively involved in the 2027 general elections.
The speaker commended the efforts of the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo towards building an egalitarian Igbo nation.

During the last presidential and governorship polls in Lagos, Igbos were a particular target of violence and ethnic slurs.
“He pledged N100 million to the body, which he redeemed when he visited Iwuanyanwu in his Abuja residence,” Mr Ogbonnia said.
The leaders said steps taken so far by stakeholders in the region had yet to yield the desired results, thus the need for presidential intervention.
He assured that Igbo stakeholders are not relenting in the efforts to ensure that Mr Kanu is released.
