Jimoh Ibrahim, APC senator representing Ondo South, says Saturday’s governorship election is free, fair, and credible.
The governorship election is scheduled to hold on Nov. 16 in the state.
The vice-chancellor said the approval was conveyed to the university via a letter dated September 6, signed by NUC’s acting director of academic planning.
Mr Ologunorisa commended the governor for his commitment to the university’s growth.
“While drug traffickers, who are the major culprits, are smiling to the banks, the addicts are constituting a nuisance to society,” said Mr Akomolafe.
Mr Akomolafe said on Wednesday in Okitipupa, Ondo, that the rate at which drugs were being abused by youths and others in the country was alarming, adding that it called for serious concern.
The defendants, whose addresses were not given, are charged with forceful entry, breach of peace, assault, malicious damage and threat to life.
They, however, pleaded not guilty.
In separate interviews on Saturday in Okitipupa and Ilutitun, the aspirants said inadequate preparation marred the election, which did not hold in some wards.
The accredited members scampered for safety as violence broke out.
