On Tuesday, the Ogun House of Assembly ratified the impeachment of Olakunle Oluomo (APC-Ifo I) as the speaker.

The Ifo Constituency 1 election was declared inconclusive on March 18.
They charged the nominees to redouble their efforts to ensure the delivery of dividends of democracy across the state.
The name of the 10th nominee, Tunde Oshunbiyi, was withdrawn by Governor Dapo Abiodun.
“The detentions were due to the connivance of land-grabbers with some security agents against innocent members of the public,” Mr Oluomo said.
The move led to protests and the deployment of security agents in the area.
According to him, the state government will also declare the Day a work-free day.
He is currently under EFCC investigation for money laundering to the tune of N2.5 billion.
The group wants President Tinubu to give necessary backing to financial crimes agencies to perform their duties unhindered.
