Mr Oyintiloye’s remarks followed Rotimi Amaechi’s comments asking Nigerians to protest the hardship occasioned by President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.
The APC chieftain said, “With a little patience, all the challenges Nigerians are facing will be a thing of the past.”
“There is no doubt that the president is doing everything humanly possible to ameliorate the suffering of the masses, but a faster approach must be considered.
Mr Oyintiloye appealed to the President to come to the rescue of Nigerians passing through untold hardship caused by fuel scarcity.
Mr Oyintiloye decried allegations levelled against some governors of diverting and repackaging rice sent to the states by the federal government for the masses.
“The President should ignore the criticism by those who see nothing good in the decision.’’
The APC chieftain said many Nigerians were living below the poverty line and disillusioned, wondering where the next meal will come from due to the extreme hardship.
“I commend the President for prioritising the health of Nigerians with the release of N260 billion to revitalise the dilapidated PHCs in the country.
The ex-lawmaker urged the government to give incentives to some of the multinationals still operating in Nigeria.
He urged Nigerians to continue to support the president for the delivery of more dividends of democracy.
