OPay has opened applications for the 2026 edition of its flagship scholarship programme, continuing its ₦1.2 billion, 10-year commitment to support education across Nigeria.
He said that the initiative was a core commitment to advancing Nigeria’s vision for digital leadership.
The minister said that the programme would offer the opportunity to train, empower and place the young people in meaningful jobs.
According to the West Africa director for Google, Olumide Balogun, technology holds the power to transform lives and economies.
Ms Price said that Nigeria’s tech investment would be a powerful catalyst for further growth.
Mr Balogun said that search interest in AI had reached a record high around the world and in Nigeria.
The initiative is to serve four semi-urban and rural communities in Kaduna state.
