The host minister also highlighted Cuba’s agricultural human capital and different models of practices which have raised its productivity.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday departed Nigeria to represent President Bola Tinubu at the G77+China Leaders’ Summit in Havana, Cuba.
According to the vice president, Borno alone had damages worth $6.8 billion.
The Vice President said the housing projects were part of a broad plan by the Tinubu administration to address conflicts in the north.
”President Bola Tinubu is a very compassionate leader, and in the coming months, there will be changes in the fortunes of Nigeria,” said Mr Shettima.
He said the council commended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for their interventions.
“The Green Wall Project, which has been prioritised by the government, stands as a testament to our unyielding resolve to shield our habitat and bolster our nation’s security.”
The meeting with the stakeholders furthered the efforts by the federal government to reactivate production lines at ALSCON.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima says Nigeria has mobilised over $500 million in innovative, profitable, equitable and sustainable food system transformation initiatives.
During the summit, Mr Shettima would chair a high-level session themed “Innovative Financing for Food System Transformation: the Case of Nigeria.”
