Mr Aiyedatiwa said the late governor demonstrated a strong commitment to grooming future leaders and believed in orderly, constitutional succession.
The party expressed concerns over the spread of rural banditry, herder-related attacks.
The governor assured the people that he remained committed to the cause of putting their security and safety first.
Mr Kayode said this during a special court service held in honour of Mr Akeredolu by the Ondo judiciary on Wednesday in Akure.
The family announced the funeral arrangement in a statement.
“No group of workers is more impoverished than the workers in this university.’’
The governor described Mr Akeredolu as his brother, friend and boss.
Mr Aiyedatiwa said humans must acknowledge that the key to wellbeing is in God’s hands.
“As you formally resume duties, I pray our state witnesses more development under your watch,” he added.
He also prayed for fast recovery for Mr Akeredolu, who is currently out of the country for medical treatment.
