Ikechukwu Eze, special adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, in a statement  in Abuja, said the dialogue would also attract global development experts.
This followed Mr Bazoum’s appeal to the ECOWAS Court to free him from detention on Wednesday.
“Let us bend therefore over backwards to avoid this civil war between brothers,” Mr El-Rufai advised.
Niger Republic coupists have vowed to kill ousted President Mohamed Bazoum as ECOWAS deploys coalition forces for an immediate invasion.
The announcement came despite widespread warning that an invasion could plunge sun-Sahara Africa into turmoil.
ECOWAS has called for investment in conflict prevention in member states, putting its estimated cost at over $2.6 billion.
