A ceasefire in Sudan that came into force on Thursday has already been broken, with airstrikes and heavy shelling reported near the presidential palace in the capital Khartoum.
Streets in some Sudanese cities returned to relative calm on Sunday as a shaky ceasefire helped scale back a violent conflict.
“At least 39 people had been killed by security forces in Sudan since the October 25 military coup, 15 of whom were reportedly shot dead on Wednesday,” Ms Bachelet said.
