The Bayelsa government says it has yet to decide on the tariffs for usage of its 60-megawatt gas-powered electricity plant.
The commissioner emphasised that the government remained committed to reducing the spread of fake products.
Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, the Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, said the gesture was a Christmas gift for the vulnerable people.
Mr Duba said the approval was in consonance with the sustained policy of the governor in the past four years in the area of education.
The state asked the CBN to respect the judgment of the Supreme Court and ease the hardships of citizens caused by the new naira policy.
The death toll from the flood disaster was confirmed by the Bayelsa government on Wednesday.
