Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, NUPRC’s CEO, says Nigeria’s oil and gas sector is undergoing a transformation driven by growing local participation.
Mr Adedokun commended the chief executive officer of NUPRC, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, for her leadership in stabilising the upstream petroleum sector.
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission says recent reforms have unlocked over $10 billion in upstream oil and gas investment.
Ms Eyesan attributed February’s production dip to incidents at key facilities and scheduled turnaround maintenance.
She expressed delight over the number of applicants in the 2025 licensing round.
The NUPRC boss emphasised that the bid process will fully comply with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) and remain open to public and institutional scrutiny.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Ms Eyesan following the resignation of Gbenga Komolafe on December 17.
He said the NCDMB had designated five focal areas for implementing the presidential directive.
“This SLA will not be an exception, as you can count on us to deliver our part of the deal,” he said.
