Mr Alia had, on Monday, inaugurated two commissions to probe the administration of Mr Ortom from 2015 to 2023.
“As I talk to you, 18 local governments out of the 23 local governments we have in Benue state today are under siege by these terrorists Fulani herdsmen.”
“It is sad that the life of civil service in the state is near collapse. It’s in the ICU, so I just need to get in there and infuse life in it and keep it moving.”
The opposition body takes the governor to task over his long trail of sharp practices in the Gateway State.
The Benue governor said INEC should also engage IDPs as ad-hoc staff during elections.
“They call them bandits because they do not want people to call them Fulani herdsmen,” said Mr Ortom.
Ortom while reacting to the recent attack, reiterated his call on the federal government to step up security operations.
