Recall that violence broke out in some parts of Ondo during last weekend’s House of Assembly exercise held amid low turnout of voters.
“As I speak, I’m stranded. they have blocked all the major roads.”
Oyeyemi Oyediran, Ondo police commissioner who confirmed the arrest, decried the level of damage done by the indigenes of the town.
The suspected quack doctor is accused of impersonating the Chief Medical Doctor of a private hospital in the state.
The police also failed to arrest any suspects in the attack, which left about 50 killed and dozens wounded on Sunday morning.
The victims were rescued on April 22, at about 6:30 p.m., when the Police Rapid Respond Squad were on a routine check of the highway.
The police boss had dismantled checkpoints obstructing free flow of traffic and inflicting pains on commuters.
“All the policemen posted on duty on highways must be at alert and not use their duty posts as a means of extortion,” Mr Oyediran warned.
