The Kebbi government has distributed palliatives worth N5.7 billion to 550,000 vulnerable families in the state.
JONAPWD has lamented exclusion from the palliative distribution committee in some LGAs in Kaduna.
She added that government plans to expand its social register to accommodate and capture the IDPs in its various social interventions.
The budget set aside N500 billion as palliatives due to the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government.
The group said they were worried that justice may not be done to deserving beneficiaries as partisanship may characterise the process.
The AFAN chairman said that smallholder farmers contributed much to food production and food security in the country and should be empowered.
The grains included millet, maize and rice.
He noted that the government has approved the payment of arrears of gratuity to retired civil servants from 1996 to 2021 with a cost implementation of N4.3 billion.
“I also need to let you know that the number of teachers to be recruited in each local government area is based on a need assessment,” he said.
Somehow, some Nigerians have been persuaded that money realised from the removal of subsidies will be exempt from the corruption that is the fate of all public money.
