Mr Abubakar said, “Let it be known that a threat against Peter Obi or any of us is a threat against all of us!.’’
“Whatever he sees, he should take,” the Edo governor cautioned Mr Obi.
“We are also sure that anybody who tries to stand in our way, we will smoke that person out,” said Jarret Tenebe.
Governors aren’t elected to stoke tensions, but to calm them when they erupt.
The statement noted that leaders should align with the protocols and security realities of the areas they visit.
Mr Falana said Mr Okphebholo’s threat to Mr Obi’s life violates the Nigerian constitution.
Mr Maduabum added that the PDP had descended into chaos, internal betrayal, and systematic destruction by diverse forces.
Mr Obi raised the alarm over “developments at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), where issues around the dental students’ graduation and induction quota.”
“The governor is not a true reflection of Edo people. His outburst does not define us,” Mr Ifaluyi-Isibor.
Mr Okpebholo said Mr Obi would be responsible for any security breach that occurred in the state if he failed to heed his advice.
