Bola Tinubu was declared the winner of Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election on Wednesday.
Operatives of the ruling APC are under pressure to do everything they can to ensure the return of Mr Sanwo-Olu for a second term.
Messrs Obi and Abubakar should respect democracy and concede defeat to Mr Tinubu, IPAC says.
Mr Tinubu polled 8,794,726 to win the February 25 presidential poll. Mr Abubakar garnered 6,984,520 votes, and Mr Obi 6,101,533 votes.
The residents said the candidates should imitate former president Goodluck Jonathan by accepting defeat and congratulating the winner.
“I heard Nigerian youths loud and clear. We are going to chart this path together…We will work together.”
“If any candidate believes they can prove the fraud…, then bring forward the evidence.”
“Still, I know some candidates will be hard put to accept the election results.”
Tinubu has been declared the winner of the 2023 presidential poll.
Mr Obi won in Calabar South, Yakurr, Obudu, Bakassi, Ikom, Bekwarra, Calabar Municipality, Yala, Ogoja and Akamkpa LGAs.
