Adesina said this at a breakfast meeting held for the media to declare open the AfDB 2025 Annual Meetings in Abidjan.
“He strongly stood by me in difficult times, which ensured my re-election. Thank you, sir,” Mr Adesina said.
Mr Sanwo-Olu described Mr Adesina as a distinguished leader.
The peace icons are Africans drawn from different backgrounds who have used their talents, positions and resources to build and promote peace across the continent.
Mr Akinwunmi made the commitment in a tweet shortly after meeting the Nigerian leader in France on Friday.
