The paralympian made headlines on Valentine’s Day in 2013, for killing Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria, claiming that he thought she was an intruder.
South African security forces on Monday said 87 people had been arrested in the last 12 hours across the country over public violence.
This statement comes as demonstrations held on Saturday, with South Africans protesting in solidarity with Palestine on Saturday to mark Nakba Day, or Catastrophe Day.
He added that he has little time for recreation and does not own a holiday home or yacht.
